Go Pro 8

Concept

The GoPro 8 "See The Night" focuses entirely on the camera’s advanced low-light capabilities, using striking visuals with high contrast between light and shadow.

The outcome

"See The Night" delivers a stunning 3d content, highlighting the camera's superior low-light capabilities in a dark, moody setting. With sharp contrasts and smooth, high-quality visuals, the ad showcases its advanced features, making it the perfect choice for capturing adventures at night.

Process

The creative team starts by conceptualizing a dark, atmospheric environment where the GoPro 8 will be the focal point. The overall mood is inspired by deep shadows, sharp contrasts, and minimal lighting that highlights the camera's sleek design and features. The lighting plan includes sources like soft spotlights, subtle glows, and rim lights to create strong contrasts and highlight the product's edges.

Lighting Setup:

The lighting is crucial for maintaining the dark, moody atmosphere. A single key light is used to illuminate the GoPro 8, positioned to create dramatic shadows that emphasize the camera’s contours. Rim lighting is added to outline the product against the dark background, ensuring it pops. Additional soft, diffused lights gently illuminate specific features, such as the lens or buttons, while maintaining a sense of mystery around the camera’s body.

Post-Production

In post-production, color grading is applied to deepen the blacks and enhance the contrast between light and dark areas. Glows around certain light sources are adjusted to create a sense of depth, while sharpness is boosted to ensure every feature of the GoPro 8 stands out crisply against the moody environment. Final touches include adding effects like soft reflections or subtle lens flares to give a polished, cinematic finish.

See The Night

This process results in striking 3D scenes that emphasize the GoPro 8's cutting-edge design and performance, using light and shadow to create a powerful visual impact in a dark, atmospheric setting.
